What a great way to start our wedding season, with Pinderella and Aaron’s wedding day…..Ok, let me explain. Pinderella a.k.a Emily is the nick name that friends and family have called Emily for many years, and finally on May the 3rd on a beautiful sunny day, she married her Prince, Aaron, at High Rocks, in the stunning Kent countryside.
It was the first time I had shot a wedding at High Rocks so a couple of weeks before I popped over with Hilary to do a little recce, have a spot of lunch and to meet Luigi the wedding planner, who couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.
Emily looked amazing in her dress which was made by my wonderful assistant and wife Hilary…And no, it isn’t part of one of my collections I offer ” 8 hours coverage, Queensberry Album and a handmade wedding dress” mind you, it would be a great U.S.P…Ummm, food for thought maybe? HILARY !!!
Hilary has known Emily for nine years or so, and I know making the dress is something Emily has always wanted Hilary to do, so a few months before the wedding the girls got together to create the design. The next step took Hilary & Emily into london to buy the fabrics, and a couple of months and a few fittings later, Emily had her dream wedding dress.
As usual I started with the bridal preps with Emily and the girls, and then popped over to see Aaron for a quick 15 minutes at his parents on route to the venue. After the ceremony and because of the nice weather, the drinks reception was held just opposite the venue at the High Rocks themselves. It was a perfect setting for a glass of champagne and not a bad place either to take a pic or two.
The day was absolutely perfect in every way, two lovely families, cool guests, great weather, a welcoming team at High Rocks…Oh yeah, and an amazing and warm couple that were so obviously in love.
