365 project-iPhone 4s

Ok..I’ve finally entered into the 21st century, three weeks ago I bought myself an iphone. Why I have taken so long in purchasing one, I don’t know. All my friends and colleagues have had theirs since they first came onto the planet. Like they all do, I absolutely love it, and I can’t image life without it. Ok, a slight exaggeration I know, but, it is a cool gadget. I just love the camera apps, hence this post.

For anyone that isn’t familiar with the term “365 project”, all it entails is taking a photo a day for a year. I say all it entails , I’m only into my third week and to be honest I’m not sure if I will be able complete the task, but I’m going to give it a good go. It is great fun to do. I’ve never done so much walking since starting this project, so not does it only open your photographic mind, but also combines a little exercise in your day !!!!!!!

I don’t think there are any rules to this 365 P’, I know some people like just to shoot portraits and others will use just a 50mm lens and I’m sure there are a lot of other twists you can try, but for me I’m going to do it all on my new toy, the Iphone.

Here are my first 20 days..

Portrait shoot with Matthew & James.

I had the pleasure of Photographing Matthew and James with Mum (Emma) & Dad (Richard) last year, but this time I was just photographing the boys for a surprise birthday gift for Granddad.. All Mum & Dad needed was a black & White headshot- portrait of each son, so keeping that in mind I kept the backgrounds real simple (apart from stumbling across this amazing door, I just had to use it.) and just looked for the best  light.

I Hope Grandad is pleased with his present…..
